Description:
- The Nurse in Charge (NIC) is a designated clinical leader for a patient care area who works under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Department Director to plan and coordinate care at the service/department level.
- Reporting to the Director of Surgery with over 20 years of institutional knowledge
- An innovator in minimally invasive surgery, Holy Cross Hospital was first in Montgomery County to offer robotic surgery with theda Vinci® surgical system in 2008 and in 2017
What you will need
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's in Nursing degree
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.
- MSN preferred
- 3 years of experience in an acute care setting
