Lineage is currently searching for an Operations Manager to join our growing team!
As the Operations Manager you will direct, plan, coordinate and execute warehouse activities in the warehouse facility as directed by the General Manager. You will oversee several Supervisors who in turn manage team members in the shipping, receiving, dock or blast areas. As the Operations Manager you are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the operation, insuring a safe and productive workplace. You excel at meeting customer expectations on quality, truck turn times and all personnel matters.
Working closely with Operations, Production, Maintenance and Quality managers on KPI improvements will require you to have strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as strong problem solving abilities and basic math skills.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Labor planning for all accounts (existing & future)
  • Responsible for ensuring there is adequate coverage for all shifts - Salaried and Hourly - and being available to cover weekends and/or nights if needed (often with little to no notice)
  • Primary POC for all operational communication with customers, leadership, etc. with regards to CCL.
  • Work with GM/SM to evaluate capacity for new customers
  • Create plan to review with GM/SM and execute the onboarding for new e-commerce customers
  • Oversee training of new team members and continuous improvement (CIR) for e-commerce
  • Ensure all work is prepared prior to start of shift (management of supervisors)
  • Ensure all work is completed and all reports are updated accurately, prior to exit of the building
  • Responsible for obtaining daily information from supervisors and providing a daily written report to GM/SM
  • Responsible for managing the disciplinary (CA) process (working directly with HR and GM/SM)
  • Learn and manage Dayforce System for CCL staff - enforcing the attendance policy in a way that is fair and consistent across the board using CA when applicable (working directly with HR and GM/SM)
  • Screen, interview, and hire new team members - Terminate team members when appropriate (working directly with HR and GM/SM)
  • Dotted line to inventory team, work closely with inventory manager
  • Develop and manage at least one SMART target on the facility CIR at all times
  • Develop and monitor effective metrics to judge e-commerce productivity
  • Lead special projects as needed
  • Executes against established warehouse performance objectives (KPIs). Responsible for achieving prescribed company objectives in regard to cost, productivity, customer service, profits and team members.
  • Establishes and practices a culture of safety among the team members at all times.
  • Executes warehouse operations activities to meet productivity and service goals.
  • Responsible for positive team member relations.
  • Leads daily planning and staff meetings.
  • Executes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
  • Coordinates activities of warehouse with activities of sales, record control, and purchasing departments to ensure availability of products.
  • Knowledgeable in WMS software in regards to abilities and changes to suit customer needs.
  • Develop and manage system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.
  • Operates facility in compliance with federal, state, and local statutes.
  • Work Environment:
  • Fast paced work environment with, in and around industrial machinery.
  • Cold storage environment. Warehouse bays are kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below zero in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time (warm gear provided by company).
  • Noise level varies and at times and can be loud.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with machinery and material handling equipment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
  • Bachelor's Degree or five years warehouse management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Proven ability to use basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Capable of becoming certified to operate all the equipment used in the warehouse.
  • Available to work different shifts as necessary.
  • Available to work occasional to frequent overtime.
  • Must be willing and able to frequently stand, walk, crawl, climb, push, pull, kneel, bend and reach.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with our without reasonable assistance.
  • Must be able to perform in all areas that hourly employees are performing with the manual dexterity required.
