Job Description Summary

Oversees all functions of the line from tote staging to the final package.

Key Accountabilities

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Maintain throughput to standard of 90% or better.
  • Perform and maintain all required operator QC checks.
  • Operate equipment according to local and machine manufacturer standards.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goal.
  • Responsible for all aspects of product quality and finish.
  • Perform other operator functions and machine checks as assigned.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal in English.
  • Skills in teamwork and communication including problem solving and flexibility.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Six months of related production-based experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Previous packaging operator experience or relatable role.

A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $22.74
