Description: Our client is currently seeking a Optical Operator
Job Title: Optical Operator
Location: Marlborough, MA
Duration: 12+ Months (Contract to Hire)
Responsibilities:
- How to manufacture products to the specifications required.
- Prepare, maintain, and operate grinding and measuring equipment
- Proper handling of crystalline materials and laser optics
- Perform incoming/outgoing quality control of optical parts for cosmetic defects
- Maintain production records and document problems
- How to use of measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, interferometers, and auto-collimators.
- How to be able to read blue prints
- How to use a microscope
Qualification & Skills:
- No previous experience necessary; our team of trained professionals will provide you with the resources and support needed to expand your knowledge of optical polishing while demonstrating your abilities to be a contributing member of the team.
- Ability to report failures to supervising engineers
- Ability to follow detailed instruction
- Dexterity to handle delicate, small optics with tweezers or other tools
- Ability to lift up to thirty pounds
- Confident in following Safety Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures
