Purpose of Position

This position is in the College of Arts & Sciences self-paced enroll-anytime (SPEA) Program.

UND's self-paced enroll anytime courses are 100% online and open for enrollment any day of the year. Enroll anytime courses allow students to complete college courses at their own pace and are taught by UND faculty members. Self-paced enroll anytime courses have similar course content as semester-based courses. Preferred candidates will have an extensive background in strategic communication and social media in a variety of contexts

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Course development and instruction of the following course via self-paced, enroll anytime format.
  • COMM 326: Content Creation for Social Media (3 credits)
Required Competencies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including evidence of the ability to teach,
    inspire, and mentor students.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty,
    staff, and students.
  • Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to current methods of teaching via online delivery.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must hold an MA/MS in Communication or related discipline OR at least 10 years of professional experience in strategic communication
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
