PRMO Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke Primary Care. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. Position also invo lves customer service, messageCoordinate and participate in a variety of duties associated with dailypolicies rules and regulationsmaintaining re cords and forms.establish and maintain effectiveclinic preparation proce ss,Disseminate messages according to practice communication standardscom pletely and timely.Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patie nts and completingpatient identification, patient check in/out, chargepo sting, cashothers. Report obtainedpatients. Make return appointments bys cheduling patients into themedicalinformation from patients and referri ng physicians accurately,charts.Check-in patient upon arrival in the pra ctice.Enter pre-visit orders and prepare new patient charts. Pick up X-r ays,encounter forms.reports, petty cashand collections bag.File history sheets, ancillaryIDX.on insurance plan.Prepare encounter forms. Investig ate and account formissing encounter forms. Audit encounter forms forcom pleteness andpreparation and referralspatient record documentation.Retur n medical records. Attachforms andobtain signature as required bypolicy and procedure.the primary care physician or referring physician and sch eduling testsAccurately identify the appropriate account for patient vis it. PresentIdentify correct patient information in IDX. Verify patientde mographicpatient specific chart documents and requisition/transmittaldoc uments.private physician officedata. Edit IDX as needed.insurance cards as indicated by procedure. Coordinate allBatches encounter formsor charg e posting inreports and all other requiredHIPPA/Medicare documents to th eand written instructions, interact tactfully with customers andCopy,fil e and distributedistribution, ancillary scheduling andaccuracybeforebatc hing.labs/procedures as requested. Maintaincorrect appointment type, ent eringnext day preparation activities.management and patientappointmentan d prioritize work, provide oraloffice charts, medical records,and educat e patients on requiredof cash to be collected basedmanage all appropriat e alerts. Collect and post co-payments andCompletes all IDXcheck-infiles andbalances on accounts due. Imprint all


Minimum Qualifications


Education

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education


Experience

Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and activities. providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or
