Responsibilities

The Patron Services Coordinator will work with the Program Manager to provide daily supervision of Ticket Agents, staffing of the Ticket Office operations at all Opening Nights venues, recruitment, scheduling, training, and evaluation of volunteers, as well as the supervision of volunteers at all Opening Nights venues.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to Opening Nights patrons through telephone, email, and box office window interactions.
  • Work with Program Manager to scale each event and provide proposed seating charts. Upon approval, build events in ticket system, including all event information, special offers, and ticket holds.
  • Coordinate daily sales reconciliation and deposits in accordance with University policies.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with FSU Cash Handling and Cash Collection Point procedures, as well as all applicable PCI compliance requirements.
  • Supervise Ticket Office staff to include training, performance evaluation, and daily guidance as needed. Schedule staff for daytime sales, and night/weekend events.
  • Manage "concierge" ticket program for sponsors and members as well as respond to pre- and post-event concerns and resolve complaints.
  • Recruit and sustain a robust corps of volunteers to support the ongoing programmatic efforts of Opening Nights through training programs, email, and telephone communication.
  • Evaluate volunteer policies and procedures and make recommendations when change is needed.
  • Maintain ticket scanning equipment and ensure accuracy of scan rates.
  • Enforce and oversee on-the-spot interpretation of policies concerning patron needs, resolution of ticketing and seating issues, ADA-related concerns, as well as customer services.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with and knowledge of ticketing management software and box office management.
  • Ability to lift equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Conversant in a wide variety of performing arts genres.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and accounting.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of fiscal control systems.
  • Ability to review and reconcile financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
