Under the direction of the Director, and working collaboratively with the Workforce, Learning & Development (WL&D) team, the Per Diem Clinical Trainer will support The Home for Little Wanderers' ("The Home") clinical training needs along with developing and delivering training curriculum. The Clinical Trainer is primarily responsible for the provision of Trauma Informed Care, and other clinical training courses.

How You'll Be Making a Difference

  • Deliver a variety of clinical trainings on an as needed basis to ensure and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to the clinical practice models adopted by The Home.
  • Conduct training in group forums.
  • Provide training services to employees and interns within The Home.
  • Work collaboratively with the WL&D Administrative Assistant to track and maintain documentation (such as attendance sheets, evaluations, and training materials), as required.
  • Support relationships within The Home's programs and departments.
  • Help support overall WL&D training function by developing new trainings as needed and as aligned with their interest and skill sets.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree required; clinical licensure preferred
  • Experience in the child welfare setting required
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theories
  • Experience with instructional design preferred
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills required
  • Ability and awareness of the need to work across and with cultural differences
  • Desire to learn and take direction, and work collaboratively with others
  • Experience with web-based training design preferred, not required
  • Comfortable working with changing work priorities
  • Ability to analyze and understand training needs and processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot both functional and technical issues in a service-oriented environment
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications

Physical/Driving Requirements:

Ability to conduct full day and/or consecutive day clinical trainings as needed and agreed upon. Standard office setting.
