The Personnel Scheduler position is a dynamic, fast paced role. This position has interactions with employees across all levels of the organization. The primary responsibility of the Personnel Scheduler is to synthesize the production personnel assignments for the Logistics/Transportation departments. The ideal candidate would have strong attention to detail as well as solid time management abilities that allows him/her to effectively prioritize and complete multiple tasks throughout the day.*Hours:*

*Monday & Wednesday: 7 AM - 4 PM 
Tuesday & Thursday: 6 AM - 2:30/3:00 PM
Friday: 7 AM - 12/1:00 PM*

*What You Do. *



* Each day works with Supervisors to determine the amount of staffing required, ensuring all employees have a "value added" assignment.  

* Coordinate of personnel assignments when production and personnel changes happen throughout the shift. Reassignment of personnel movements based on production demands and personnel needs.

* Facilitate the early departure of employees according to the guidelines set forth in the employee handbook.

* Schedulers coordinate and interact with fellow Schedulers in a positive supportive manor working as a team to accomplish staffing needs.

* Schedules employees for correct staffing requirements and considering the employee's seniority, skill, and ability to the various positions.  Provide schedule for next day's specified supervisors and post daily.

* Maintain Skills Matrix for training needed to ensure employee skills are up to date. Using the Matrix to ensure employees are not working in the same position/rotation to support employee safety and ergonomics.

* Facilitate and coordinate a voluntary lay off if required; staffing needs are less than the number of available employees.  Make decisions based on skill level and years of service. Combine job functions when production activities allow (i.e. prep room, material handler, and end of line transfer), and reduce support positions accordingly.  Following established procedures to ensure staffing does not adversely affect manufacturing variances.  

* Take calls from employees to inform them of their scheduling status and answer questions and concerns.

* Ensures accounting accuracy by tracking and adjusting employee's clocking into the correct cost center for their line assignment or activity and when transferring to different positions/departments.

* Also in the time keeping system, run an exemption report daily making appropriate adjustments for the following: missed punches, track training hours, late punches, perfect attendance, early in punches, Work Center job transfers, Emergency Hours, PTO/Scheduled hours

* Coordinating and communicating with Production Leadership, Employee Experience Team, and employee on a variety of issues and manage strict confidential information with the highest integrity and accuracy.  Ensure all procedures are consistently done accordingly to established policies and procedures.  


* These include: Employees with work related injuries, ensure the proper paperwork and any additional information is given to the Supervisor and Safety Professional; Time off resulting from injury or medical leave (i.e. FMLA, STD, RTW), working with the Leave Administrator to ensure correct entries are made so as to not adversely affect employee's paycheck; Employee attendance records, must keep detailed and clear recordings of absences and early departures, coordinate with the Employee Experience Team and Supervisors with any questionable occurrences to ensure the correct entry is made and documented, and monitors employee attendance and provides the appropriate supervisor with attendance statistics.

Monitor all entries in Kronos which include:  Paid Time Off (PTO) days, Scheduled Hours, Emergency Hours, FMLA, Short Term Disability, and Lay offs.



*
Set up employee biometric finger printing for time keeping system. 



*
Keep accurate and detailed records by maintaining text for any absence, FMLA, Early Departure. 



*
Manage the weekend schedule rotation of employees and schedule according to the policy.



*
Collaborating with Supervisors, Manufacturing Training Specialists,  and CDT's in supporting the training needs of plant employees to increase flexibility in scheduling and employee qualifications.  



*
Update Employee Skills Matrix weekly.  Collaborate with appropriate supervisors to assure specific training is available for appropriate areas.



*
Communicate with other shift schedulers to coordinate transferring of employees from shift to shift, and/or plant locations, and coordinate overlapping overtime to meet staffing demands.  



*
Coordinate general communications about daily events from shift to shift (i.e., lines starting up or going down, the need of more staffing due to a special order, extra-work activities, absences that affect the following shift).



*
Coordinate requested staffing for other areas of the plant/office when the needs arise.



*
Communicate staffing availability for extra work to be completed and will coordinate and schedule personnel for completion with Production Scheduler/Supervisor.



*
Attend various off shift meetings when scheduled.  



*
Schedule hourly personnel into Department, Process Tech, Safety, and Personal Development training and/or meetings as requested by Plant Leadership and Human Resources.



*
Utilizes strong computer skill this includes typing, preparing memos regarding scheduling practices,
creating spreadsheets, charting, presentations, reports as well as analysis and tracking of information/data. 



*
Post information using digital signage and posting boards. 



*
Communicate with plant employees professionally and directly, referring them to the appropriate department or management if more information is warranted.



*
Schedule as directed by Supervisors PT's in the machine specialist program in the maintenance shop.



*
Strong verbal, written communication telephone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.  



*
Take messages for supervisors and communicate them appropriately. 



*
On off shifts, answer all incoming phone calls. Direct calls to appropriate people or take messages as needed.



*
Monitor the employee entrance door/security system.  Accept incoming deliveries of supplies, visitors, or employees here on their off shift.



*
Provide employees or temporary employees with glasses, shoe covers, or coats as needed.



*
Manages and prioritizes projects and requests based on timing and importance.  



*
Coordinating and organizing special events such as employee appreciation lunches, uniform fittings, photos, hearing tests, earplug fittings, culture committees, safety teams, BBSO, food safety training, alchemy/LMS training, and other needs as applicable.



*
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to be proactive. 



*
Uses independent judgment in completing activities and operates under general supervision. 



*
Maintain and safeguard confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential information, files and records.



*
As assigned, perform other duties or special projects necessary to support overall responsibilities of the Plant Manufacturing teams.



*
Knowledge of most office equipment.  



*
All other duties assigned by the Supervisor.




*Your Education and Experience.*



* High School or GED required

* Associates degree preferred or six months to one-year related experience in manufacturing or an office administrative role.
