Overview

A PMO Analyst I, supports the needs of the PMO by meeting top-notch performance expectations through quality work on business processes, platforms/tools, governance and training. Collaborates effectively within and outside the PMO to build efficient business process work streams. Provides forward-looking thinking to favor long-term outlook with our platforms and tools. Focuses on being results driven in order for the PMO to deliver successful results for our customers and Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG).
Responsibilities

  • Business Process Management - Champion assigned PMO processes by accomplishing the following:
    • Defines and documents new processes as necessary.
    • Has a clear definition and purpose for individual processes.
    • Maintains up-to-date workflow and guide documentation for processes.
    • Periodically evaluates processes to find ways to simplify, gain efficiency and create consistent quality output while meeting the goals of the process and expectations of the customers.
  • Platforms/Tools Support - Acts as the Subject Matter Expert for assigned platforms/tools with a focus on strengthening the capabilities and benefits by accomplishing the following:
    • Builds an intimate knowledge of assigned platforms/tools including related processes and data.
    • Leverages knowledge of assigned platforms/tools to interpret data to reach key insights into business processes.
    • Develops reporting to empower users.
    • Engages in upgrade management (major releases; patching) for platform/tool owned including review of release notes, user acceptance testing, communication to stakeholders and training of users.
    • Responsible for creation and maintenance of system integrations/data flows between interconnected platforms/tools.
    • Drives continuous improvement and manages the process to mature the capabilities and use of tools/platforms.
  • Governance - Supports the monitoring of processes for compliance and the achievement of metrics by accomplishing the following:
    • From simple data extracts to polished dashboards for leadership, creates and supports ongoing reporting for PMO Capabilities such as Portfolio, Project/Program Status, Financial, Schedule, Resourcing and others.
    • Addresses gaps in compliance or data accuracy by working with associates to achieve standards.
  • Training - Constructs training courses (including materials) and delivers to associate to facilitate knowledge transfer for assigned business processes and platforms/tools.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience setting, successfully implementing, and achieving goals.
  • Proven experience working on project teams.
  • Demonstrated a strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills. Good organization and time management/methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands.
  • Proven strong sense of teamwork by working collaboratively, respectfully and efficiently with all team members in a work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts to create understanding for others.
  • Proven understanding of lean and agile concepts and approaches.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills with experience conveying information to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, focused and concise manner.
  • Proven adaptability when required to adjust to multiple demands/deadlines, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when handling demanding situations.
  • Proven ability to effectively listen, interact, and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Demonstrated work experience influencing and directing others to initiate a recommended course of action to solve a problem or increase efficiency.
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management methodology concepts and IT solutions development life cycle (SDLC) processes and artifacts preferred.
