A post-doctoral position at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Grand
Forks, ND, is available immediately to study the role of the host response to influenza and respiratory bacteria.
The post-doc will determine the role of pathologic and protective immune mechanisms in respiratory infections
and inflammatory diseases. The position also offers an excellent opportunity for cutting edge training in
immunology and career development. We invite applications from highly motivated candidates who are
ambitious and want to pursue an academic carrier. This position foresees the extensive use of multicolor flow
cytometry. The applicants with no or limited experience with flow cytometry are not encouraged to apply. The
recent graduate with significant experience in immunology, virology, and molecular biology, is particularly
encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Appointment:Position: Postdoctoral Research Fellow,
Remuneration / Salary: $45,000-$60,000/year; commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is a twelve (12) month, non-tenure track, special appointment with University of North Dakota
(UND) School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), Department of Biomedical Sciences.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The post-doc will design and carry out the experiments related to immunology. The post-doc will perform the
data analysis, write research papers of her/his findings and present the work in national level meetings.
Additionally, the post-doc will supervise the students and junior lab members.
