About Us

Brigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates, a member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, is a multispecialty, primary care practice with more than 65 physicians. We have several offices across the South Shore and are affiliated with Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and South Shore Hospital.

We believe that patient care comes first. Our physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and support staff recognize the importance of prompt, expert, and compassionate care for patients whose needs span from general health maintenance to treatment for complex medical problems.

Our Team

Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 3 and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including allergies, asthma, coughs, bronchitis, colds, flu, COVID-19, fever, headache, broken bones, sprains and strains, eye and ear infections, rashes, cuts, sexually transmitted infections, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need.

Our Fast Care/Urgent Care Center located at 15 Corporate Park Drive in Pembroke, MA. Our center is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm, and Sundays from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, 36-hour Practice Assistant. Since Urgent Care is a 7 day per week operation, the schedule for this role will include weekday shifts, coverage every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday), as well as some holidays.

Dedicated to administrative support, Practice Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that teams are delivering the highest quality experience that exceeds our patients' expectations. Responsibilities include check in, check out, phone reception duties, and serving as the first point of contact for patient appointments.

We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned departments; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the building during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes).

Qualifications
Qualifications

We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting! Whether you are seeking to gain more experience in the healthcare industry or a proven healthcare professional seeking a new challenge, the Practice Assistant role is the opportunity for you.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required
  • Prior medical office experience preferred
