Job Description:

Expectations

Under the direction of the Reliability Engineer, the Predictive Maintenance Specialist develops, documents, and establishes the preventative and predictive maintenance programs for the maintenance of all the machines and assets within the site using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Pd.M. Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely collection of equipment data and documentation in the CMMS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and performs collection of Predictive Maintenance (Pd.M.) routes/programs.
  • Works with maintenance team toward improving existing PM and Pd.M. programs as well as developing procedures and/or training to technicians to support improvement activities.
  • Collects route data points correctly and performs additional testing to verify diagnosis.
  • Effective use of vibration, ultrasound, Infrared equipment, i.e. set up routes, alarm limits and diagnose faults and comparative data for proper recommendations.
  • Effective use of precision laser alignment equipment.
  • Recommend improvement opportunities identified through the collection of data to ensure Pd.M. program efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Work with maintenance team to validate corrective work found through Pd.M. activities is accurate.
  • Participates in reliability improvement projects to meet/surpass KPI targets.
  • Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical service providers. Perform acceptance tests and inspection criteria for new installations.
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and coordinate multiple projects effectively.
  • Demonstrates a high sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and creative problem solving.
  • Help coach and train maintenance team
  • Achieve common business goals through cooperative alignment with all departments.

Education and Experience

Education:

Associates degree preferred or high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Professional experience:

5 years industrial manufacturing environment or related experience and / or training.

Union Experience preferred
