Job Overview:
The Pemco Operator is responsible for transforming rolls of labels into sheets ready to be finished. They load up the machine, set parameters and configurations, and ensure quality throughout. The Pemco Operator works alone making an ideal candidate someone with a solid work ethic, good attendance, discipline, and a desire to grow their career with us! Our Batavia plant runs a seven day per week operation with a 2-shift production schedule, 12 hour shifts with overtime as required by business needs for the Pemco Operator.

Job Duties:

• Mount and attach rolls of labels onto machine properly to be webbed into machine
  
• Configure machine to set proper speed and adjust counter for accurate quantities.
  
• Review label rolls for quality and remove defective material before running job.
  
• Adjust guide wheels and slitting blade to accommodate sheet size and prevent jams.
  
• Transport skids of processed labels out to the finishing area.
  
• Observe machine while operating to ensure smooth operation and pace.
  
• Ex: Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area
• Related duties as assigned.

Experience/SkillsRequired:

• High school education or equivalent.
  
• Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
  
• Detail oriented and can focus for long periods of time without direction.
  
• Ability to read and follow all specifications on the job jacket.Capable of working alone with a high sense of urgency.
  
• Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time
  
• Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and meet production schedule deadlines.
