Your Primary Focus

Lead and Grow Landscape Architecture at OHM

• Provide landscape architectural leadership at the geographic and discipline level by working with discipline leaders and other firm leadership to promote a collaborative, innovative and impactful practice within OHM.
• Maintain and grow a professional network consisting of clients, collaborators, and community organizations to continue growth of OHM Advisors' landscape architecture discipline.
• Work closely with the local leadership to identify growth opportunities, maintain project quality, and support staff professional development and advancement.
• Coordinate and work with other OHM Advisors' Principals to advance and integrate landscape architecture with other OHM disciplines.
• Participate in professional organizations and business development opportunities to expand OHM's working network.
• Attend conferences and lead speaking engagements to maintain OHM Advisors as a leader in landscape architecture in the Michigan market.

Preserve and Grow Client Relationships

• Actively maintain strong client relationships through frequent communication, developing relationships at multiple levels across the client's organization.
• Obtains repeat work from clients including through the cross-selling of services.
• Discuss and describe technical issues and alternative solutions to the client and the public.
• Coordinate with project managers on project strategies, client interface, contracts, and development of the OHM/client relationship.
• Participate in professional societies, conferences and local organizations in support of clients, business development and networking.

Project Guidance and Quality Assurance

• Prepare proposals, work plans, schedules, and budgets for projects. Expertise in preparing discipline specific, as well as multidisciplinary project proposals at multiple scales desired.
• Provide guidance on landscape architecture projects within Michigan, working with project managers to determine project direction and alignment with OHM and discipline core values.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control of project deliverables.
• Works closely with Discipline and Geographic leaders, Clients, and project teams to deliver projects and problem-solve as issues arise.
• Work with local leadership to monitor financial performance, project quality, and team workload.

Personnel Mentorship

• Collaborate with local leadership to manage, mentor, and guide team members to ensure professional development and advancement.
• Monitor studio development and identify opportunities for individual growth and technical leadership.
• Assist in tracking, establishing, and achieving budgeted staff utilization levels and discipline goals.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Ability to function as a member of a team to support project and interpersonal goals and work collaboratively.
• Team-oriented mindset and strong listening and collaboration skills
• Professional licensure in landscape architecture
• Experience providing leadership in landscape architecture throughout the region, including participation in professional organizations, speaking and publication.
• Monitor the production of landscape architecture deliverables at all phases of design.
• Self-directed and able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Experience working within financial management software to monitor project performance metrics.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Suite. Familiarity with Lumion a plus.
