Provide Manufacturing with a production process to assure conformance with production order requirements. Process to be consistent with required material specification, surface finish, and dimensional tolerances with customer approved drawings or sketches. Capable of inputting and maintaining manufacturing processes into the computerized manufacturing system. Provide Manufacturing with complete and accurate drawings using the CAD system.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Review customer's drawing requirements, material specifications, estimator's plans, dimensions of assigned material and planned delivery schedule.
  • Analyze alternate combinations of machines and tooling to most efficiently transform input material into finished shape per sales order.
  • Make drawings of sequential machining operations: drawings include surface finish, explanatory notes and tolerances.
  • Maintain complete set of records of customer drawings, process drawings, vendor communication and security documents.
  • Through study and mental analysis of drawings, sketches, written information and specifications, visualize and plan the proper sequences to process the job.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology preferred) with 5-10 years of relevant experience in a machine shop preferred. 4-year degree preferred.
  • Experience producing 3D CAD models and drawings in SOLIDWORKS required.
  • Previous use of metrology inspection tools required.
  • Above average communication skills required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Software required.
  • Experience in a CNC machine shop preferred
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
