General Purpose:
To oversee daily operations of Whey Dryer Facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor ongoing plant operations and report to management.
- Assure that product conforms to company and customer specifications.
- Responsible for overseeing plant sanitation.
- Staff, train, schedule & evaluate plant employees.
- Responsible to assure plant equipment is maintained as required.
- Maintain plant charts and production records.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of boilers.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of plant projects.
- Work with Regulatory and Customer Inspectors.
- Participate in and promote safety programs.
- Responsible for waste management.
- Develop and manage KPI's and budgets for the Whey Dryer.
- Perform Whey Department Supervisor's duties when necessary (vacations, absence, etc.)
- Complete weekly schedule for the Whey Plant employees.
- Perform related duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- HS diploma required
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a supervisory capacity
- Previous cheese/dairy production experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
