This is a Program Manager opportunity within the Infrastructure Services and Operational Support-Network team supporting the growth, management, and 24x7 operation of Facebook's production network. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering mission-enabling program and project management support. You will work directly with network engineering, facility operations, construction, and other key stakeholders to execute critical programs and projects in the data center. In this role, you will be responsible for providing program and project management support to multiple data center regions, enabling others to have impact by solving problems associated with building Facebook infrastructure and operating efficiently at scale. This is a full-time position.
  • Provide program management support for Edge and Network Services data center projects and initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate and drive execution of all programs and projects within the regional areas of responsibility.
  • Manage highly cross-functional network programs and projects in a matrix organization.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships across the business and collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives as well as day-to-day operations.
  • Employ a data-driven approach to planning and problem solving. Convey status of programs and projects by using quantitative metrics that clearly communicate business impact.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs verses technical constraints.
  • Identify and communicate all risks and changes to the program and regularly update stakeholders on issue resolution.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to refine processes and transform workflows in order to scale efficiently.
  • Domestic and international travel required.
  • 8+ years experience managing complex programs and projects within technical environments, such as network infrastructure and data center operations.
  • Experience developing and delivering executive-level presentations using metrics and data visualization.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership skills with the experience in driving results across multiple teams.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and partner teams and collaborating with different individuals across the organization and within other geographies.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational leadership experience.
  • Experience in evaluating, defining and improving end-to-end processes.
  • Communication experience across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing teams and complex projects. Cross-functional leadership experience influencing without authority.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, quantitative, or a related discipline.
  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Associate level network certifications (CCNA or JNCIA) or higher.
  • Background in network engineering, software engineering or a related field.
  • Experience leading network and data center projects and or programs.
