The mission of the Center for Geriatric Surgery is to provide high-quality perioperative care tailored to the needs of older adult patients through an innovative, interdisciplinary approach establishing and integrating evidence-based processes throughout all phases of surgical care.
Reporting to the Nurse Program Director for the Center for Geriatric Surgery, the Program Manager is responsible for the management of services, specifically in the areas of administration, operations, logistics, and communications. The Program Manager is the administrative lead for the center and, in partnership with the clinical leads, plays an important role to ensure the advancement and growth of the center across the Brigham and Women's Hospital. Given that the center's objectives are cross-departmental, the Program Manager will work with the team to ensure the successful rollout of the clinical and administrative pathways, dashboard development, and electronic health record enhancements and builds. The Program Manager will also manage communication with the American College of Surgeons and the verification review as it relates to Geriatric Surgery Verification for Brigham and Women's Hospital.
