The ReAction Program at Dow

For many, taking a break from the workforce is exactly what we need. For many, returning to the workforce may seem challenging. You may have questions, such as: "What if I am not ready?" "How do I get started?" "How will I be there for my family?" "What if everything changed?"

The ReAction Program at Dow allows motivated individuals, who have taken an extended break from work, to return to the workforce.

About the Program:

Individuals hired into the program will be placed in full-time roles, such as Maintenance Engineers, Improvement Engineers, Process Automation Engineers, and Quality Leaders. You will have the opportunity to interact, engage, and be mentored by experienced Dow business and functional leaders.

What tasks will you do?

  • Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.

  • Ensure that work requests include engineering input on repair details and if necessary provides onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data, for equipment that is critical for the process.

  • Determine testing scenarios and oversee the simulation of the control system to test the strategy and improvements.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for work execution, tools and systems supporting and interfacing in the space of Production Operations Management.

  • Provide an effective interface between customers, the organization and cross-functional partners to ensure consistent high quality service to customers.

  • Identify and lead product quality improvement opportunities and advanced problem-solving efforts with broader scopes and leveraging potential as determined through data analysis, customer feedback, continual improvement projects, and other quality-related programs.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in returning to the workforce after 2 or more years off for reasons such as:

  • Military service

  • Starting, raising, or caring for a family or family member(s)

  • Community service or volunteer work

  • Entrepreneurial ventures

  • Continuing education

  • Other personal or professional pursuits

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or other Science or Technical Degree Discipline is required.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferably the candidates will live within driving/commuting distance to the following locations:

  • Ringwood, IL

  • Plaquemine, LA

  • South Charleston, WV

  • Deer Park, TX
