Job Info

The ReAction Program at Dow

For many, taking a break from the workforce is exactly what we need. For many, returning to the workforce may seem challenging. You may have questions, such as: "What if I am not ready?" "How do I get started?" "How will I be there for my family?" "What if everything changed?"

The ReAction Program at Dow allows motivated individuals, who have taken an extended break from work, to return to the workforce.

About the Program:

Individuals hired into the program will be placed in full-time Supply Chain roles, such as Customer Service Specialists, Scheduling Specialists, and Planners. You will have the opportunity to interact, engage, and be mentored by experienced Dow business and functional leaders.

What tasks will you do?

  • Execute the order entry process and manage the order fulfillment process for a given business or group of businesses and customers which are typically key customers or order scenarios with a high degree of complexity.

  • Coordinate activity at assigned customer accounts, proactively address issues and implement solutions.

  • Generate a time-phased supply schedule to fulfill business requirements in the short-term, while considering plant wide constraints, and meeting inventory and customer service targets.

  • Own and operate site or regional planning models (provide functional expertise for model operation; assure most efficient use of information technology).

  • Serve as a local site coordinator/planner for integration of internal demand, utilities, or environmental operations at a particular location.

  • Develop plans to support new item introductions, ensuring product availability for all customers, as well as item discontinuations, mitigating product obsolescence.

  • Resolve issues or exceptions outside the business rules/boundaries and intervene when needed to address performance gaps.

  • Drive continuous improvement by periodically reviewing and providing recommendations to enhance the distribution network, and by ensuring current manufacturing strategies are appropriate.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in returning to the workforce after 2 or more years off for reasons such as:

  • Military service

  • Starting, raising, or caring for a family or family member(s)

  • Community service or volunteer work

  • Entrepreneurial ventures

  • Continuing education

  • Other personal or professional pursuits
