SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading, planning, directing and coordinating the start-up of new business operations, as well as the expansion/improvement of existing operations. This includes strong customer interface, quoting, the set-up of safety, quality, productivity, employee relations, cost control and environmental management systems using the principles of TPS and PDCA that meets Toyota Tsusho's standards of excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, conducts and supervises assignments generally involving the larger and more important projects
  • Leads or direct projects
  • May act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations
  • Evaluates progress and results and also recommends major changes in procedures
  • Operates with considerable latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to complete significant assignments
  • Collaborates across fields
  • Manage IT Projects from assorted backgrounds in Applications and Technical / Infrastructure focus.
  • Provide expert guidance in cross functional and technical system design, configuration, and setup
  • Develop and display insight and knowledge of company-wide requirements
  • Strong project management skills to develop/maintain/track project scope, timeline, design, implementation, and budget using project management software
  • Demonstrate excellent customer communication skills
  • Lead kaizen activities related to project management methodology
  • Excellent analytical skills applied to problem resolution, data integrity, business processes
  • Provide guidance to other Project Managers in project management, project methodology, communication, and issue resolution
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRABLE FOR THE POSTION:

Toyota Production System (TPS)

Spanish and/or Japanese a plus.

AutoCAD experience

This position also requires travel up to 80% of the time.

Driven individual that is results oriented, with strong communication skills (verbal and presentation) that is an effective leader and team builder. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
