Job Description

Flexion is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with healthcare payor experience for a REMOTE 6 to 12 month contract role. A project manager with experience managing end-to-end lifecycle of a large complex project or multiple medium sized projects in healthcare that spans multiple functional areas involving business process, technology and third party vendors.

Objectives of the role:

  • Define, implement, and maintain project initiatives that adhere to company's strategy
  • Planning & managing cross-functional matrix team to align project milestones and deliverables tied to business outcomes and goals
  • Keep project on schedule and within scope and budget, and flawless execution.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating end-to-end lifecycle of project for launching new products or business technology initiatives in HealthCare Payer space.
  • Accountable for ensuring that deliverables from business and technology partners are produced and approved according to multiple project schedules and success criteria.
  • Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including changes to scope, schedule, resources and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plan with appropriate dependencies, leveraging the delivery methodologies with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Creates and maintain project schedules including resource tracking, assignments, tasks, dependencies, deliverables and milestones.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome project risks, and produce status reports for management and stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks. Proactively identifies and manages project risks and dependencies and raises awareness.
  • Ensure projects are managed using the applicable standard project management standards and processes that are in place in the company
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Establish Project Governance and communication cadence with steering committee, Core team and project team.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Serves as single point of contact for all project management related questions and refers technical/business questions to appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Establish and nurture strong client and business partner relationships
  • Develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to key internal initiatives to drive efficiencies and best practices for delivery

Required Skills

Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Project management and 2-3 years in one or more of the Healthcare Payer domains (Enrollment & Eligibility, Contribution Accounting, Claims Administration, Self-service Member, Employer Portals, Medical management, Finance, Compliance)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Advanced Project Management certification and or PMP
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • strong working knowledge of change management principles
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and persuade customers, employees, and management at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in business administration or related field
  • Stakeholder management skills in large complex project/program with Internal and external teams.
