CALSTART is seeking a Project Manager II, Electric School Bus Outreach and Engagement candidate to join our Electric School Bus (ESB)Team. This role supports the team's marketing and communication efforts to educate stakeholders on California's Zero Emission School Bus and Infrastructure (ZESBI) incentive program. It also supports CALSTART's Electric School Bus (ESB) Network. The ESB Project Manager II will be responsible for developing content and directing creative execution to provide consistent, targeted, and impactful messaging for ZESBI and the ESB network. This role reports to the Deputy Director and is a remote role opportunity.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement the outreach and engagement plan for ZESBI, including website, email, online outreach, and public relations strategies.
  • Collaborate internally with CALSTART's Communications Team and report on plan progress to CARB and the CEC.
  • Oversee all technical assistance communications for the Electric School Bus Network including the school bus forums and monthly newsletter.
  • Support the School Bus Team and collaborate with the Communications Team internally.
  • Externally support the CEC, CARB, and the ESB Network Stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the table:
  • Demonstrated experience managing outreach and engagement efforts.
  • An expertise with email & email data management, press releases, and media.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and database management.
  • Experience with zero emission vehicles and/or infrastructure is desired.
  • Knowledge of communication and stakeholder engagement best practices
  • Familiarity with marketing and communication tools including but not limited to MailChimp, Pardot, WordPress, and social media.
  • Familiarity with CA vehicle and/or infrastructure incentives is desired.
  • Knowledge of the electric school bus industry landscape desired.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or related field of study.

$72,000 - $99,520 a year

CALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The complete salary range for this role is $72,000-$99,520. The typical pay for this role is from $72,000-$78,880 as we determine pay based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity and other factors relevant to the job.
