Smart & Final is searching for an experienced Promo/DSD Coordinator for our Store Support Center, located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA 90040.

SUMMARY

The Promo/DSD Coordinator reports to the DSD/Promotion Merchandising Manager and will provide support to the DSD/Promotion Merchandising Manager. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned or required.

• Assists the DSD/Promotion Merchandising Manager in the documentation of promotional and display plans.
• Assists the Category Management group with the new item process
• Facilitates store specific distribution adjustments
• Inputs data into the promotion system and ad layout template.
• Coordinates presentation materials.
• Coordinates the holiday DSD schedules contacts.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have good computer skills.  Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must have excellent analytical skills and be able to handle multiple projects. 
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience with databases and data input

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
