The opportunity

Reporting to the Director, we have an opportunity for a Property Tax Consultant. You will manage property tax projects from end-to-end in a client-facing role. You will deliver an outstanding client experience that aligns with our reputation and see further opportunities to expand our services. This role is based out of our Richardson, Texas office.

What you will do:

• Develop and execute projects. You will play a key role in client presentations, providing a full range of property assessment and tax consulting services to new and existing clients. You will execute highly technical research, analysis, and project support that requires extensive service line knowledge. You will present cases and communicate technical matters to authorities in order to negotiate settlements or advance appeals under the supervision of leadership.
  
• Spearhead client relationships. You will be a point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and delivering outstanding service. You will actively seek ways to apply knowledge, and interpret and anticipate changes in laws, regulations and standards to advise clients on the impact and implications.
  
• Network. You will attend industry events and company initiatives, acting as a thought-leader and subject matter expert, sharing information and insights.
  

You will have:

• The education. You have a 4-year University or college degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  
• The industry expertise. You have 1+ year of experience in the industry with a focus on property tax analysis and consulting. You can gain the trust of and work closely with clients to proactively provide value-added advice and translate technical property valuation concepts.
  
• The project management. You can manage multiple deliverables for clients, prioritize high quality, and meet competing deadlines. You have excellent research skills, finding applicable tax legislation and prior cases. You can build and foster relationships with internal and client stakeholders across all levels. You are an outstanding communicator who can channel insights, clarify ambiguities, and present complex information in a structured and accessible way.
  
• The flexibility. You are available to work as part of a hybrid model, spending a couple of days a week in the office. You are open to travelling nationally to meet with clients as needed.
