Merakey is seeking a full time Psychiatrist for our FACT team covering Delaware County.

Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Teams are composed of professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, mental health professionals and therapists, all of whom collaborate to provide complete services including therapy, medication management and resource linkage to adult individuals with serious mental illness (SMI). Services are provided in the individual's home or the community and include one in person visit per month.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Duties:

• The Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting psychiatric patient evaluations to determine medication needs.

• The Psychiatrist will document evaluations and interactions with the patient in the electronic health record.

• The Psychiatrist will also be responsible for prescribing pharmacologic therapies including controlled substances, monitoring progress and making necessary changes to patients' medications.

• The Psychiatrist will facilitate direct patient admissions into hospitals when needed and participating in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to develop coordinated treatment plans.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry

• Licensed in Pennsylvania

• Strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illness.

• Clinical supervisory experience is preferred.

• Understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and be knowledgeable about the FACT model.

• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel within the Delaware County, PA coverage area.
