Job Description:

A worker is being sought for the position of Purchasing Manager to perform the following duties:

1. Direct/Manage/Supervise purchasing operations and strategies.

2. Evaluate, select, and procure all direct (raw materials, etc.) and indirect (MRO, Services etc.) components necessary for production of the organization's products.

3. Lead the coordination activities with engineers and developers to ensure that the most appropriate and technologically advanced raw materials and components are selected.

4. Develop and implement best practices regarding daily operations including requests for quotations, proposals, or bids for current requirements and for new product introductions.

5. Lead the purchasing team to develop and execute best in class strategies that meet KPI's of cost, quality, lead-time, delivery, service, safety, and optimal value.

6. Develop and maintain budget for all purchasing activities.

7. Keep records of all acquisitions to ensure that purchases remain within budget and on schedule.

8. Recognized as expert in field.

9. Requires highly specialized skill set in the areas of resin compounding and overall procurement expertise.

10. Influences and implements best practices within procurement to drive efficiencies within purchasing processes and procedures.

This worker will not directly supervise other workers.

Position requires Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field and five (5) years' experience with Supply Chain operations. Skills/Tools: Negotiation, strategy development, strategy execution, raw material knowledge in chemical industry.

10% travel throughout United States required.
