2nd Shift QA Technician

Monday - Friday

3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. plus overtime as needed

Primary Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Responsible for the inspection, assessment, verification/testing, and documentation of process and product quality for all products used in the manufacture of our product and finished goods to the customer and acceptability thereof. Included in these duties are instrument care, calibration and documentation.
  • Inspect and test product to ensure it meets customer and product specification and alert production when standards are not met.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to assure process capability.
  • Monitor product tracking methods with respect to production (i.e. order number, coil number, etc.).
  • Maintains customer limit and retain samples.
  • Puts questionable product on hold, initiates re-work if necessary and inspects non-conforming product returns.
  • Prepares routine reports; including gathering and summarizing data (i.e. preparing manufacturing standards to be released to the production floor and C of C’s for product release.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement process (CIP) by identifying and addressing any opportunities to reduce cost, improve the product/process and/or the overall operation, eliminate problems, streamline operations or other areas as defined by management.
  • May assist in training other production employees in quality assurance procedures and standards.
  • Participate in system or quality based training provided by the Company or recommended by the Company.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Physical Demands
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years quality inspection experience preferably in a manufacturing/production
  • Proficiency using Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
