* Job Title: * Quality Engineer - Automotive Industry
* Location: *Webberville, MI - fulltime onsite
* Salary: *$80k - $95k Base salary dependent on experience

We are a Machining Manufacturer of engine and drive train components for the automotive Industry. We have a diverse portfolio of Customers in the USA and Europe. We are looking for a qualified Quality Engineer preferably from the manufacturing/industrial automotive industry comfortable with a technical understanding of machining processes and maintain document control systems.
What You Will Be Doing MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Assist Quality Department in maintaining the quality management system
-Assist with document control system including; forms, procedures, quality records, quality alerts, etc.
-Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
-Support/lead resolution of customer concerns by facilitating 8D problem solving events (containment, root cause identification, corrective and preventive actions)
-Assist with document control system including; forms, procedures, quality records, quality alerts, etc.
-Support/lead continual improvement efforts with cross functional teams
-Working in accordance with deadlines for delivery of products
What You Need for this Position MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

-Minimum 2-3 years automotive related work experience in automotive machining environment
-Use of common metrology equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gage, thread gages, etc.
-Technical understanding of machining processes in a production environment
-Understanding IATF 16949 and ISO 14001
-SAP software experience preferred
