Data and reporting encompass many key areas including patient experience, quality and patient safety, clinical outcome performance tracking, asset utilization and measurement support. This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and presenting through reports, dashboards and presentations, a variety of data to support quality and performance measurement initiatives Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

The successful Quality Measurement and Reporting Analyst will analyze and organize complex qualitative and quantitative clinical, financial and administrative data from multiple data sources, and synthesize results into meaningful reports, leveraging Vizient, Tableau, SQL querying, Epic reporting tools, etc. S/he will leverage his/her skills working with large data sets, distilling data down into digestible information, for hospital senior leadership and staff across the organization. S/he will serve as a resource for end-users on core analytic and reporting capabilities.

In addition, the Quality Measurement and Reporting Analyst in conjunction with the Manager of Quality Improvement, will manage projects focused on quality, patient safety, and patient experience.

Job Duties:

  • Performs data analysis and extraction from various repositories and then aggregates, analyzes, and displays the information in an efficient way using a variety of different reporting tools
  • Serve as system administrator for essential organizational databases including but not limited to Medisolve, and the Safety Event Reporting System, RLDatix.
  • Presents data and analyses to key stakeholder groups as requested, including creating materials for and giving presentations as needed
  • Conducts data entry and generates reports supporting quality improvement initiatives that are of high institutional priority and aligned with our organizational goals
  • Performs comprehensive quality assurance, ensuring that databases and reports meet end user specifications and that the data are accurate and reliable
  • Prepares and presents outcomes information to appropriate forums


Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, information systems, statistics, or a related discipline. Master's degree (MPH or similar) preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in hospital/healthcare field and/or data analysis or programming
  • Experience with querying databases as well building dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Vizient
  • Demonstrated statistical/analytical and reasoning skills to perform high level problem solving
  • Strong analytic and computer skills with extensive knowledge of database management
  • Knowledge of dashboard development using Tableau or other related tools.
  • Experience with Epic preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, manipulating large data sets and synthesizing into digestible information.
  • Strong ability to work effectively with senior level management and collaborate with staff at all levels within an organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor the message to the various individuals and audiences throughout the organization
  • Possesses initiative and ability to work independently while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Attention to detail that ensures follow through on all initiatives implemented, and all projects undertaken.
  • Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines.
  • Project management skills and/or experience a plus
