Tower Health Urgent Care is the metropolitan Philadelphia area's largest provider of urgent care services. At each of our 19 facilities, we offer patients access to advanced, comprehensive care from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 365 days a year.

Responsibilities

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures , producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers must demonstrate an understanding of the human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. They must maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers must remain sensitive to the physical , cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills. Radiographers actively participate in a dual role while working in the clinical environment. Duties include but are not limited to patient registration, scheduling, clerical support, and customer service. Basic medical assistant duties may be performed by a radiologic technologist after training and competency are demonstrated. Medical assistant duties may include triaging patients under the direction and supervision of the provider. This includes functions such as obtaining height and weight, vital signs, and specific point of care testing.

Certification and Licensure
  • BLS Certification
  • RT (R ) (ARRT) or Certification eligible technologists hired upon graduation pass examination prior to start date
