Located at Trinity Health St. Joseph Mercy Livingston in Howell, this unique position allows a BSN RN with critical care experience to function as a Nurse Clinical Coordinator (House Supervisor) 12 or 24 hours per week on the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift while also maintaining a position as a bedside RN for an additional 12 to 24 hours per week in our Critical Care Unit. In total, the successful candidate can be a part-time .6 FTE (24 hours per week total) or a .9 FTE (36 hours per week total)

The Nursing Clinical Coordinator will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a group of patients, guide and supervise assigned nursing personnel, collaborate with health care professionals, coordinate ancillary staff, and demonstrate professional growth and development. He/she will consistently demonstrate expert proficiency in working with complex patients within his/her scope of practice, and will serve as an organizational resource and teacher. The Nursing Clinical Coordinator will serve as an partner with the Nurse Manager, mentoring and supporting newer staff and facilitating communication, assisting in the advancement of Nursing and organizational initiatives. The Nursing Clinical Coordinator assumes delegated accountability for operations and staffing from the Nurse Manager(s). He/she will serve as a role model for expert, contemporary, evidence based nursing practice, promoting ANA standards of care and Relationship Based Care.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Licensure: Requires current Michigan Nursing License

Education: Graduation from accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Experience: Minimum of three years progressively more responsible related work experience including involvement in direct patient care, educating staff, supervising staff, and problem solving of unit or organizational issues. Minimum of one year related practice experience in critical care required.
