Position Summary

ITT Goulds Pumps is looking for a Repair Engineer to join their PRO Services shop in Chicago. The Repair Engineer will support the shop by producing quotes, procuring drawings from manufacturing divisions, and providing inside sales support for all repair and upgrade work. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of related experience.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Handle quotations within the time frame defined in both Pro Service and Customer expectations. Quote jobs including pricing in conjunction with Sales and Facility General Manager.
  • Produce drawings for parts manufacturing or repair.
  • Update all shipment scheduled to meet customer requirements.
  • Customer support and follow up in conjunction with Sales. Recommend upgrades and support Sales with problem solving and solutions for Customers.
  • Receive jobs, enter and complete all required data for entry. Shop production/engineering support. Follow all jobs to ensure all buyouts and subcontracting work is received by due date. Negotiate with subcontractors and provide detailed specifications. Monitor and ensure subcontractor quality.
  • Communicate daily with Facility General Manager on ongoing jobs and quotes. Follow ISO 9001, ITT ESH, and other guidelines as required.
  • Contribute to Chicago Pro goals for safety, shipments, cost savings, and quality/cost of poor quality.
  • Support Customer needs and hot jobs with occasional after hour and weekend response.
Position Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience is required
  • Practical, working experience with repair or service of pumps and other rotating equipment
  • Proficiency with basic computer and Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Creo is a plus
  • Ability to lift 30 Pounds
