We are searching for a brilliant, driven, experienced Report Developer/Analyst to work with Waystar's revenue cycle solutions. The Report Developer/Analyst is an engineering discipline responsible for maintaining and upgrading existing reporting solutions consumed by clients and internal project teams. In this position, the Developer/Analyst must approach problem-solving challenges independently, enjoy working in a team environment, have a strong attention to detail, and a passion for healthcare technology.

What you'll be doing:

• Maintaining an extensive inventory of client-facing and host system consumable reports.
• Designing and development of custom analytics.
• Scheduling the automated run and delivery of reports.
• Building meaningful visual representations of information.
• Work directly with client representative to automate workflow.
• Called on to troubleshooting complex client issues.
• Ability to execute and prioritize many tasks, resolving issues with constrained resources.
• Collaborate with other teams both internally and externally to solve escalated client challenges.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with JavaScript (preferred), Java, and Python.
  • Knowledge of web-based BI reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau, Qlik, Pentaho, etc.
  • Knowledge of Linux and bash scripting.
  • Background in Test-Driven Development best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce as workload case tracking system.
  • Solid reporting and analytics experience.
  • ETL basics.
  • Willingness to cross team boundaries and assist in automating process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Desire to learn about the healthcare industry - particularly revenue cycle management, patient access, back-office claims management, and HIPAA regulations.
