Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative (PAR) is responsible for patient registration, scheduling, customer service and clerical support. Duties include accepting, recording and verifying insurance information, processing preauthorization requests, collecting copays and account balance payments, scanning documents into EMR and other administrative tasks related to the efficient operations of the department. Incumbents must ensure contact with patients, families, the community, vendors, coworkers and physicians is carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.

The PAR is also expected to complete other responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner as needed or assigned.

Per Diem Role - This position will require 2 weekend shifts per month, either a Saturday or Sunday (not both) and availability to work during the week when needed. . One holiday per calendar year (7:30am- 4 pm) working in Main Radiology will be required.

Hours are 9:30am-6pm

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

Experience

• Relevant Experience , Registration experience preferred.

Certification and Licensure

• BLS Certification - Based on department
• CPR Certification - Based on Department
