The Department of Cancer Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of molecular biology, biochemistry, cell culture techniques, metabolism, cancer biology, stem cells, and animal models of cancer. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include investigation of metabolic regulation in cancer cells and stem cells.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills, familiarize with related literatures and experimental techniques, prepare manuscripts and grant applications, present research findings at local, national, and international meetings, mentor junior scientist, and participate in career trainings offered by the University.

Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years postdoctoral experience
