Job Description

As a Research Associate in the Non-Viral Vector Biology group, you will help advance gene-editing platform and pipeline. The candidate will join a growing team to apply new approaches for engineering and optimizing non-viral payloads for gene editing. This role will work cross-functionally with different groups across the organization including disease biology, pre-clinical, manufacturing, bioinformatics, and formulations.

Key

responsibilities include:

  • Plan and execute in vitro and cell-based assays
  • Experimental troubleshooting and optimization
  • Assist with general laboratory maintenance
  • Interpret and communicate data as part of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Maintain a detailed electronic laboratory notebook

Requirements

We are seeking an innovative scientist with experience delivering RNA and DNA into

mammalian cells using non-viral methods. The ideal candidate thrives on working

collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, displays outstanding

communication skills, and is passionate about pioneering new gene-editing

technologies to treat diseases. Other important qualities include:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Molecular/Cell Biology, Genetics, Virology, Synthetic Biology, Bioengineering, or a closely related field
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology methods including PCR, qPCR, DNA purification, SDS-PAGE, microcopy, and cloning
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and sterile technique
  • Highly organized and able to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
