Research Scientist in Nutritional Science Newly Created Role as a Research Scientist who will serve as an internal subject matter expert on Food and Nutrition. This role will work collaboratively with cross functional teams, and apply nutritional science expertise to the development and implementation of new products.
What You Will Be Doing Review, compile, critically analyze & organize data from primary sources, including academic literature, nutrition databases, and related scientific knowledge bases
Conduct complex statistical analyses using large datasets, develop statistical models to answer primary product usage and engagement questions, and analyze data to quantify feature impact
Work with the Data Science team to integrate data from multiple sources and develop predictive algorithms and models
Work with Product Development team to ensure new products incorporate up-to-date research and evidence-based outcomes
Apply nutrition expertise to identify opportunities and guide strategic direction effectively to key internal stakeholders
Write scientific papers or articles in support of relevant functional ingredients
What You Need for this Position PhD in Nutritional Science or related field
5 years of full-time or equivalent professional or technical experience
Deep knowledge of human physiology and the impact of food and environment on human health
Ability to perform research relevant to the field of Health and Nutritional Science using various methodologies, including prospective, retrospective, cross-sectional, longitudinal, qualitative, and quantitative approaches
Proficiency in using statistical analyses software such as Python, MATLAB, or R to conduct statistical analysis using a variety of datasets, interpret the findings, and articulate the result with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific journals, professional journals, technical reports, clinical procedures, and governmental regulations and guidance.
Knowledge in survey data collection design and development
Demonstrated resourcefulness, eagerness to learn, and willingness to ask questions to ensure understanding.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing/publications
