RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Retail Systems Administrator. This is a 6-month contract to start/Full Time role Tuesday-Thursday onsite in Emeryville, CA.Project Description:The Retail Systems Administrator provides system technical review, support, and design recommendations for new and existing retail applications and interfaces. This person plays a key role in the design, architecture, and support for packaged implementations and will be a member of the Retail IT Team. They will work in conjunction with other teams to deliver the best possible solutions. This requires the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Technical environment:- Aloha CMC/CFG

- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots POS and related coffee bar systems
- Maintains interfaces for retail system environment
- Creates, maintains, and revises technical documentation
- Updates and communicates to Operations team and other stakeholders when required
- Thorough understanding of desktop, server, and network hardware environments
- Creates and maintains strong system controls and user permissions
- Evaluate current business processes and identify ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure that resources are effectively being utilized
- New System Deployments
- Design and document network architecture for new projects and existing infrastructure
- Provide deployment engineering support
- Manage vendor support relationships, contracts, purchases, and design initiatives
- Provide on-call emergency 24/7 technical support as necessary
- Interface/liaise with Infrastructure, BI, Digital, ERP, and Store teams on technical tasks and initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of network and security engineering experience
- Experience working in a retail environment and supporting POS (Point of Sale) Applications
- Knowledgeable of compliance standards such as PCI
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems using appropriate tools (Level 3 support, mostly)
- Any experience related to payment devices, kitchen display systems, online ordering (and integration to a POS) is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
