WSFS Bank is currently seeking a Risk and Control Manager. The Risk and Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating risk management and compliance with regulatory, investor, MI and guarantor requirements. The incumbent will facilitate audits and exams, manage issues and communicate emerging requirements. The associate will also perform or facilitate QC reviews, identify quality gaps, facilitate and oversee resolution of control issues. The Risk and Control Manager will provide HMDA, HUD and other required reporting, participate as needed in corporate risk management processes and produce KRI’s and self-assessments. The incumbent will develop, plan and coordinate training while developing and maintaining policies and procedures and managing change control process. The associate will deploy fraud tools, perform sample reviews of high risk loans and initiate investigations. The Risk and Control Manager will be responsible for reporting on controls in place for regulatory, investor, MI requirements and gaps, fraud reviews and investigations. The incumbent will ensure overall compliance with TRID timing and disclosure requirements.This is a full time position working 40 hours a week Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm in Wayne, PA.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years financial institution experience, including at least 2 years of experience in compliance is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage business is preferable (Compliance, Fair Lending, Operations, TRID)
  • Working Knowledge of Encompass business rules is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of credit-related regulatory requirements, specifically related to consumer compliance regulations (e.g., RESPA, TRID, Fair Lending, Privacy, etc.), and industry “best practices” for compliance programs is required.
  • Leadership and project/program management experience is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze operational and financial impacts is required.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products is required

Physical Demands: The physical demands described below must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Incumbent will be required to stand for intermittent periods of time.
  • Incumbent may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
  • The incumbent will be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The incumbent will also be required to talk, hear, see, read and write.
  • This position requires regular lifting and moving of 10-25 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Incumbent must also have the ability to count accurately and the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and record, balance and check results for accuracy.
