Position Summary:

Cardiovascular Holding Short Stay - Memorial Hospital Central - Colorado Springs, CO

13 Week Travel Assignment

Full Time, Days

Unit Description:

Prep and recovery for invasive neuro, electrophysiology, coronary, structural heart and peripheral vascular interventional procedures. Assists with non-invasive cardiac procedures such as TEE, DCCV, and stress testing.

Position Requirements:
America Heart Association BLS, ACLS and CO RN License or Compact License.

Progressive care inpatient experience. Cardiac experience strongly preferred.


Prefer one year of cardiac nursing experience with cardiac rhythm ID and management, post cath site management, cardiac medication knowledge and excellent teamwork skills.


Schedule - Monday - Friday 0600-1830 -or- 0700-1930

Education:
Bachelors degree nursing is preferred

Job Duties:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

This position's pay is: $38.00/hour. An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
