About This Job

The Business Development Specialist - Commercial is not your traditional sales role. We act as consultants, utilizing a unique blend of personal skills, marketing automation and data-driven approaches to support our larger sales teams. By providing a "white glove" personal touch to our prospects and clients, we assist in helping cast a wider net to bring in new business or offer additional bank-wide solutions to our current customers. Using various sales tools and tactics our team acts as a lead qualification center where targeted "net new" leads and opportunities are identified, vetted, and (potentially) credit-checked with a hand off for further engagement.

Essential Functions

  • Assisted by the current Sales Development team, help our designated sales teams/markets find and utilize the appropriate prospecting and marketing resources for sales efforts and campaign tactics.
  • Full fill the lead generation role to identify high value prospects utilizing; Data.com, ZoomInfo, Insight360, DNB Visitor, LinkedIn, and any new data/research tools.
  • Assist with basic Insight360, (our Salesforce.com CRM), activities including reviewing result and tracking dashboards and campaign activities with the Team Lead for our campaign data. The fully vetted lists are then placed into the CRM and assigned to the individual sales personnel.
  • Attend sales team meetings, shadow sales calls, and interact regularly with the sales teams, (designated markets/regions) to gather and analyze business needs and goals with respect to pipeline growth and sales development.
  • Assist with specialized projects as needed and supported by the Sales Enablement team including the support of our corporate priority "Blue Chip" projects.
  • Research current/competitor sales trends for new sales tactics and strategies and present new ideas for sales and marketing content/strategies.
  • Participate in the Richardson Consultative Training Program, (if available), and Salesforce.com and Insight 360 training modules.
  • Use Pardot, a Salesforce.com Marketing Automation tool, to leverage the company's marketing automation platform as a tactic for lead generation and nurturing campaigns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Hybrid work schedule

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong aptitude in, problem solving, interpersonal skills, analytics, and a motivation to succeed.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office applications and data management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and bring ideas to the team to grow our content resources and outreach.
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.

Education & Experience
  • Prefer a sophomore/junior working towards a degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Sales, or a related field. Working towards a Sales Certification a plus. Previous work experience in sales or the customer service sector. PC Skills include Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel. Power Point and more advanced research experience a plus.
