This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performance development team that is transforming the customer and dealer experiences associated with purchasing GM products, including Electric Vehicles (EV's). The Finance function performs a critical cross-functional role in driving GM's business success including improving company financial performance, managing cash to fund major vehicle programs, and reporting results and managing investor perceptions. Global Finance IT provides innovative technology solutions to support these objectives. We deliver value at high speed through an intense Customer focus coupled with domain expertise and business savvy. We are innovative, dependable, reliable, and collaborative.

Responsibilities:

In this SAP FICO System Analyst role you will be part of the Record to Report Consolidate and Report team responsible for developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies. You will perform hands-on configuration based on detailed requirements and system specifications to drive solutioning for Finance and Accounting team. Additionally, you will enhance existing software and/or develop new software solutions to address specific needs or solve business problems. You will contribute to all development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process.

You should have proven experience in the following:

• Strong background in Finance and Accounting principles

• Knowledge of standard SAP capabilities and proper application to meet

business requirements

• Rich experience in Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules of SAP

• Critical thinking ability

• Strong problem-solving capacity

• Excellent written and verbal communicationskills

• Project managementskills

• Mastery of SAP configuration / customization tools and techniques

• Knowledge of software testing, quality assurance and solutions testing

• Knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software applications

• Belief in and demonstration of GM's winning behaviors; Think Customer,

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of working SAP experience is required (at least 5 years of SAP experience is preferred
  
• Strong hands-on configuration experience in configuration of SAP modules; FI/CO, AA, PS
  
• SAP S/4HANA Central Finance experience a plus
  
• Experience in SAP and Solution Extension products; SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, SAP ECC etc.
  
• Strong understanding of MM & SD integration with FI
  
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.)
