How you will make contributions that matter...

  • Responsible for providing complete and achievable production schedule for a manufacturing location utilizing PPDS (SAP Module) and approved business processes.
  • Ensures production schedule meets customer requirements, respects code date and space limitations while aligning with associated planning activities.
  • Prepares and releases the production schedule to the shop floor in a timely manner.
  • Mandates standard business processes followed in PPDS.
  • Reviews master data set-up and monitor to ensure alignment in production processes. (i.e. for new processes, for process changes) BOMs, Recipes, Resources, Production Versions, other plant floor changes.
  • Provides continuous (daily) feedback with manufacturing to ensure scheduling information is kept up to date. Including but not limited to; demonstrated running rates, start times, end times, resources, BOMs, Scrap rates, CIP times, material sequence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the location to connect them to the broader planning community, to support plant activities (manufacturing and warehousing). Acts as the eyes and ears of the planning community, to ensure local issues are addressed.
  • Clearly understand all requirements and constraints at plant level for a production plan (consideration of minimum/maximum batch and run sizes, resource assignment, material sequencing on resources, changeover and startup allowances and material availability). Work with planning operations team to ensure accuracy of functional master data. (BOMs, resources, versions, etc.)
  • Daily interaction with Supply Network Planning team to ensure long term horizon of planned orders are accurate and representative of capacity constraints.
  • Communicate and execute all needed changes to the production schedule for any various "unplanned events".
  • Other planning duties as required.

You are best suited for the role if you...
  • Values that align with the Saputo culture.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience in business environment. Experience in scheduling/planning with a food manufacturing company preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Strong analytic and technical skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative and work well under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interact with both plant and planning team employees.
