RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Alexandria, VA.Overview:The client banks with Truist and have some complex reconciliations to do. These accounts take credit card payments, cash deposits and other payments as well. Most of these deposits go to the bank. Auditors just came out and mentioned the variance was not an issue because it was not material but they would like to clean it up before year end (July-June is fiscal year). The first issue is some of the payments did not end up on the GL. The second issue is some of the deposits either didn't have enough information or the information was not clear, so it didn't get posted correctly. The candidate may need to reach out to the depositor (they will provide the depositor's information) on occasion to clear this up.REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree required (Associates, Bachelors, etc.); Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 4+ years of continuous experience working with bank reconciliations and GL required
- Must be a place with large volume and very complex reconciliations; No small companies
- System - Munis (owned by Tyler Technologies) is not required; Candidate will be taught to use this
- MS Excel - Yes -Formulas, functions, V-Lookup and Pivot Tables; Candidate needs to know how to download into Excel
- Certifications - CPA would be a plus but not required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
