Job Description

Under the supervision of the Control Director, the Operations Business Analyst's primary responsibilities are to support the business systems and processes.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems, user needs, and business processes.
  • Collects and documents user and business requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Assists the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are integrated with other business and technical processes.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and developers to establish the technical vision and analyzes tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Create test scenarios and execute tests on software (as needed) to confirm fixes and/or new application functionality; coordinate with business users on user acceptance testing for new software releases.
  • Work directly with business users to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the business software (as needed).
  • Escalate to and work with internal software engineering team to resolve complex support issues.
  • Provides third party software providers with direction in resolving software issues.
  • Performs L-2 support to business users on key software applications as needed.
  • Provides users access to software as needed / user configurations
  • Manages complaint handling and tracking including monthly reporting to Sr. Leadership.
  • Manage third party software providers monthly invoicing including reconciliation and payment.
QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
  • Associate degree in a related area preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Possesses industry knowledge and detailed working knowledge of reverse mortgage business applications.
  • Familiar with relational database, client-server and web-based application concepts.
  • Requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
TRAINING / LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must pass the Company's Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
This position is not eligible to be performed in the state of Colorado.
