SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the Senior Category Manager, Procurement is responsible for sourcing and vetting vendors, negotiating contracts and presenting vendor engagement opportunities to key decision makers in the assigned organization. This position interacts with a manager several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require manager's advanced approval.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively source, qualify, negotiate and present vendor engagement opportunities to the key decision makers in an assigned business unit
• Ensure the success of vendor engagement from Quality, Fulfillment, Cost perspectives
• Collaborate with team members across Supply Chain and within the assigned business unit
• Participate in Supply Chain / Procurement projects as required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree with a regionally accredited program or 4+ years relevant work experience
• 0-3 years of related experience or 4+ years for educational equivalency
• Must be available to work after hours and weekends as needed
