RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a growing and established company in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and RSU's/Stock.Responsibilities:

• Senior Electrical Design Engineer will design electrical board-level schematics according to the requirement documents
• Design PCB layouts or guide PCB layout engineers based on the schematic Build up prototypes for the design and test/improve the performance
• Create technical production files for manufacturing, including PCB design
• As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you communicate with manufacturing suppliers to solve technical issue in manufacturing Support system integration with the designed function/modules in clean room Analysis/review for technical issues in system
• Define, specify and oversee subsystems to meet the overall system specifications, costs and project planning boundaries
• Cooperate with other disciplines and suppliers to ensure the timely realization of reliable, high availability and serviceable products; Senior Electrical Design Engineers participate in the definition of system specifications
• Select the right hardware architecture to facilitate the efficient implementation of the required functionality within an intricate environment with multiple interdependencies
• Take the lead in decisions about the direction that needs to be taken and drive these ideas
• Show technical leadership to assist Electrical Engineers and steer them to use best design practices
• Senior Electrical Design Engineers influence stakeholders to realize the hardware architecture changes and design methods; Review functional and hardware design documents; Take responsibility for the quality of hardware building block
• Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be communicating with Architects and Designers from different fields

REQUIREMENTS:

• BSEE is required
• MSEE is a plus
• 6-10+ years of hardware design experience is required
• Requires Analog and Digital Design circuit design fundamentals
• Experienced with multiple process automation communications protocols such as Control-net, Devicenet, Ethernet, Ethernet IP, etc.
• Hands on hardware design experience with analog and digital design solutions; Including design requirements, detailed design & review, component selection & evaluation, procurement, design validation, and release
• Hands on experience of schematic capture, schematic level simulation, PCB layout
• Experience with engineering test equipment - logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, communication bus analyzers, etc.
• Experience with Schematic Capture, Simulation and Design Tools
• Ability to apply knowledge of installation, repair, and troubleshooting at board, module, and system level
• Knowledge on change management and version control tools
• Ability to write technical specifications, status reports, business correspondence and procedures
• Knowledge on change management and version controls tools - SAP PLM plus
• Experience with Micro-Controller firmware development, Twin CAT, Electrical circuit simulation, Altium, AUTOCAD - Schematics and Creo 3D cable routing preferred
• Personal Skills Strong communicator with pragmatic attitude
• Preferred knowledge of PCIe, FPGA, VHDL, PLC, embedded control, and EtherCAT
• Knowledge of FPGA design technologies and VHDL is preferred
• Technical knowledge of cabling concepts, connectivity concepts, EMC safety
• Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism
