The Position
The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to Stenograph's Finance team. This role will assist with fundamental accounting and financial tasks and communication/coordination amongst departments and functions in the company. Responsible for compilation of financial records while adhering to financial policy and direction of the department/Asst Controller/VP of Finance. An active participant in, and driver of, the department's overall operation and initiatives. This individual will be actively involved in financial accounting, reporting, business planning, analysis, and budgeting. Will be tasked with focus on process automation and use of business intelligence to improve use of data, information, and technology to create operational efficiencies, improve reporting accuracies and better inform decision makers with a view to deliver enhanced business performance.
The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the business and senior management in driving financial forecasting, modeling and analysis, strategic partnership management, supporting BI projects, and reporting deliverables including preparing scorecards and presentations on highlights, lowlights, risk, and opportunities of the business.
The analyst should have ability to comprehend business concepts and ensure these concepts are delivered as meaningful analytics. The analyst will facilitate design and concept gathering and assist in the creation of new reports or analytics.
The analyst should be skilled in leading and driving process improvement projects, leveraging technology to streamline and automate processes, and deliver time saving efficiencies. Finally, the analyst should be experienced with problem-solving and conflict resolution to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues.
